A Boy and His New Toy

We had to retire "PaPa's Truck"!
My Daddy drove this truck up to his dying days.
He loved this truck.

Upon Daddy's death, the truck was handed down to Drewman.
Drewman was 15 when Daddy passed away.
The truck was Daddy's way of helping Drewman, as he had helped The Big Boy.
Daddy provided property and feed for The Big Boy's cattle while he was attending college.
The hope was "PaPa's Truck" would last Drewman through his college days.

Over the course of the past 8 to 10 months, Drewman has spent more time driving my Edge than he has "Papa's Truck".
The truck has been a great truck, and is a good truck still.
Although Drewman has taken great care of "PaPa's Truck", it just isn't suiting the needs, to be on the road, as much as Drewman travels.
A decision had to be made, to put more money into "Papa's Truck" or retire it.

The guys had been on the search for several weeks.
Every time they would find a truck with Drewman's wants and price range, as well as, Flower Boy's needs and condition requirements, the truck was gone when they made the call.
For some reason, Fancy Good Cheap trucks sell really FAST!

When this truck came up on the interweb,
Drewman quickly made the call to the dealership, then reached out to Flower Boy on his findings.
Several calls were made back and forth between Drewman, Flower Boy, and the dealership.
We even reached out to family in the area to test drive the truck.

Rockin' B Ranch is known for road trips!
We always take road trips to purchase cattle.
Road trips are required to deliver Rockin' B GSD puppies to their new homes.
We even took a road trip to purchase my Edge.
Therefore, shopping for Drewman a newer truck was no different.
SO....
We went on a road trip.

We left the ranch early one morning, making one stop before heading south, into Texas.
We went to Kansas to purchase my vehicle, so why not Texas for Drewman's?

After the guys did their test drive and inspection, they did a dance with the salesman and the truck was purchased.
Just look at those smiles!

Does anyone recognize the salesman?
Ruben James (RJ) Washington!
He played football for the Sooners!
Oklahoma Ranch Family, born and bred Oklahoma State Cowboy's, travel to Texas to purchase a truck, from an OU Sooners football player!
TRUE STORY!!!

It was a great day!
Everyone was happy!
Drewman loves his new toy!

To those of you who look for "PaPa's Truck" and wave at Drewman...
You may find me putting around in it, doing egg deliveries, on Saturday mornings!

XOXO,
Rancher Girl
